We were recently visited by the Association of Natural Burial Grounds to look round the site and monitor our adherence to their code of conduct.

In August, we received a visit from Rosie Inman-Cook who heads-up the Association of Natural Burial Grounds (ANBG). Alne Wood Park is a member of the ANBG who provide guidelines and support to Natural Burial Grounds, as well as overseeing them to ensure they are following best-practice and delivering a high-quality service.

Visits are paid periodically to inspect the burial grounds and to discuss processes such as how plots are measured, records kept and finances managed, to ensure they are robust and reliable. This enables the ANBG to ensure members are adhering to the association’s Code of Conduct and can continue to be recommended.

We are pleased to say that we passed the inspection with flying colours and Rosie was impressed with what we’d achieved so far and our plans for future enhancements. She also really appreciated the natural setting, the peacefulness of the burial ground, and our wonderful view of the surrounding countryside.

It was a pleasure meeting Rosie and showing her round Alne Wood Park and we look forward to further inspections from her or her colleagues in future.
